Don’t submit your website or blog to Google!
This may sound crazy, but DO NOT submit your site to Google!
Seriously!
Search engine submission is a big step in SEO, and it is a must for every website to earn a higher position in the search engine results page (SERP). Once your website is indexed by search engines, visitors will start flowing to your website. To top if off, since Google is the #1 search engine, it’s simply ‘retarded’ if you don’t submit your site to Google.
However, once you submit your site to Google, it takes a mighty long time before Googlebot starts crawling your site and indexing your pages.
There is a shortcut to this, and most of the time, your site will be indexed by Google in just 1 week. This is a totally “clean” whitehat solution, and it is not illegal by any way. All you have to do is add a sitemap with Google Webmaster Tools. Here’s what you should do:
- Sign up with Google Webmaster Tools
- Add your site, and follow the steps provided to verify that you are the owner of the website.
- Upload an XML Sitemap. If you don’t know how to do so, you can use a sitemap generator.
- If you’re using WordPress CMS, install the Google XML Sitemaps plugin
and Voila! Your site should be indexed by Google in less than a week, and that’s SEO first step completed. Try searching for your domain on Google, and you should be able to see your sites.

Hmm… I read blogs on a similar topic, but i never visited your blog. I added it to favorites and i’ll be your constant reader.
If your site is a blog, another great trick is to submit it to Google’s blog search. They seem to index faster and rank better if you do that.
