The PageRank is based on Google’s complex algorithm to determine the website’s “value” to the end user, i.e. Internet users. The PageRank (also commonly termed as “PR”) is a number between 0-10, with the higher numbers being the better. A higher PageRank simply means that your site & its content is seen as useful, at least in Google’s eyes. Apart from that, a website with a higher PageRank will have the upper hand in being listed higher in Google’s search result, thus bringing more traffic to your website.
So far, in my observation, websites with the highest PageRank (other than Google of course), are:
- Yahoo.com (PageRank 9)
- Facebook.com (PageRank 9)
- HP.com (PageRank 9)
There are many others, but most of them is a PageRank 9.
I have yet to find a website that has a PageRank 10, apart from Google.com. If you have found one, let me know!
